The bars that lie across the shelves and the bungie cord in front of the drawers were to prevent their contents from being hurled across the room during up to 15-20 foot swells. The monitors were attached to the desks with strong adhesives. You knew that you were getting your sea legs once you got back to land and began to suffer 'land-sickness'. |
